Biographies:
GREG A. PERRY, DDS
Dr. Perry strives to provide the latest proven techniques, materials, and advancements in dentistry, to his patients. He attends many courses yearly to stay informed of current dental treatment methods and protocols, and invests heavily in modern equipment. This allows him to provide high quality dentistry with state-of-the-art equipment, in the small, peaceful, country town of Antrim, New Hampshire.
Dr. Perry is from Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from Lambuth College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, graduating in 1986. In 1986, Dr. Perry joined the US Army. He served and traveled as a dental officer for 9 years, gaining much additional training and practical experience. He moved to New Hampshire in 1995, becoming a partner with A. J. Homicz, DDS. Dr. Perry is active in the New Hampshire Dental Society, and is currently serving on the Budget and Finance Committee. He is also a past President of the Monadnock Dental Society.
Dr. Perry and his wife, Sissel, have two daughters. He and his wife spend their time involved with the growth and education of their children, and are active with their church. He also serves as an advisor to a local non-profit mission.
In his spare time, Dr. Perry enjoys gardening and spending time with Marty and Ollie, his Giant Schnauzers. He also plays acoustic guitar with his family's musical group. You will find that Dr. Perry is willing to talk about Dentistry, his family, dogs or guitars at any opportunity.
ROBERT A. WEIGAND, DDS
Dr. Robert Weigand is committed to providing the optimum level of dental care to all his patients in a friendly and relaxed enviroment.
He graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1983. In addition to his clinical training at NYU, he also conducted graduate level research in Oral Microbiology and received a Master of Science Degree from the Graduate School of Arts and Science at NYU in 1980.
He maintained a private practice in Long Island, N.Y. from 1986 to 1999. He also served on the faculty at the State University of New York School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook, New York from 1996 to 1999 as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
He moved to New Hampshire in 1998 and joined the group practice with Dr. Perry. Since moving to New Hampshire he has accumulated over 1000 hours of continuing education. In addition to his passion for dentistry, he is also an avid pilot and loves to fly. He received his flight training in 1989 at Flight Safety International in Vero Beach, Florida. He also enjoys fishing, diving, target shooting, skiing and snowmobiling.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Flying Dentists Association, and the Prestigious Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry.
KIT R. GURWELL, DDS
Dr. Kit Gurwell grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University in 1971. After an active duty tour in the US Army, he returned to the University of Nebraska, College of Dentistry, graduating in 1981. He spent 24 years in a solo private practice, 21 of them in a rapidly growing suburb of Kansas City, Kansas. In 2005, he had the incredible opportunity of joining Dr. Perry's exceptional team in Antrim, New Hampshire.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Hampshire Dental Association, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the L.D. Pankey Institue for advanced dental education. He has a special interest and training in oral appliance treatment for sleep apnea.
Dr. Gurwell and his wife Barbara, raised three sons who now have their own families and still live in the Kansas City area. Barbara's passions center on dogs and custom sterling silver jewelry design and fabrication for dog owners.
In addition to his passion for dentistry, he enjoys working with wood. He is a "wantabe" furniture maker and enjoys many hours in the garage on projects. He loves being in the woods and sightseeing on foot. New England is where he would eventually like to retire, some day.
